LAPAN Nav is a web app: open app.lapan-nav.com in Chrome or Safari and you're navigating. Add it to your home screen and it opens full screen with its own icon, like any other app.

Why No Download

Nothing to install from a file. There's no APK, so there's nothing a scammer can copy. LAPAN Nav never sends APK files: if you get one, delete it.
It can't touch the rest of your phone. A web app only gets what you allow, such as your location while it's open.
Always the latest version. Fixes reach every driver at once, with no store update to wait for.
Works on Android and iPhone. Chrome on Android; Safari (or Chrome on iOS 16.4 or newer) on iPhone.
No sign-up to drive. Search, route and drive straight away. An account is optional, for points and saved places.
Free, no ads. LAPAN Nav doesn't sell ads or your data.

Put It on Your Home Screen

One tap in the app adds LAPAN Nav to your home screen on Android. On iPhone, use Safari's Share button and choose Add to Home Screen. More in Is LAPAN Nav safe?

Tap Install when LAPAN Nav asks — or tap ⋮, then Install app (or Add to Home screen).
Open LAPAN Nav from your home screen.

iPhone (Safari)Recommended

Open app.lapan-nav.com in Safari.
Tap the Share button ⬆︎ — on iOS 26, tap ≡ or ⋯ next to the address bar first, then Share.
Tap Add to Home Screen (tap View More if you don't see it), then Add.

What You Get

Turn-by-turn voice in Bahasa Melayu, English, 中文 and தமிழ்.
Live traffic for cars, and routes for motorcycles, bicycles and walking.
Police, roadblock, camera and hazard reports from other drivers, and toll fares in RM.
It uses about the same mobile data as other navigation apps, and keeps the screen on while you navigate.

Is it really free?

Yes, and there are no ads. LAPAN Nav will never ask you to pay to activate it.

Is a web app safe? What does it collect?

It uses your location to guide you and to place your reports. Traffic sharing sends your speed anonymously under a random ID that changes every trip, and the start and end of every trip are never sent. While LAPAN Nav is being tested, drive logs are on to help fix problems; you can turn them off in Settings. Details in the Privacy Notice.

Does it work without internet?

Not fully yet. The route you're driving keeps working through short signal gaps, but there's no offline map download yet.
