Built in Malaysia, for Malaysian roads

Free. No APK download. Works on Android and iPhone.
KM 1 Features
Accidents, roadblocks, floods, potholes and speed traps, reported by drivers on the road right now — and confirmed by the next ones to pass.
Anonymous speed data from LAPAN Nav drivers shows jams as they form, so your route changes before you're stuck in them.
Clear spoken directions in English, Bahasa Melayu, 中文 and தமிழ், so your eyes stay on the road.
KM 2 Driver safety, built in
Malaysian law says hands off your phone while driving. LAPAN Nav is designed around that — mount it, talk to it, and keep your eyes on the road.
Every turn and alert is spoken in your language, so you never need to look down.
Search and keyboard lock when the car is moving — unless you confirm you're the passenger.
See the speed limit, get a gentle chime if you go over, and a heads-up before AWAS and speed cameras, school zones and sharp bends.
After two hours of driving, LAPAN Nav suggests the next R&R or petrol station for a break.
Report an accident or hazard with one large tap — or just say it out loud.
The screen dims and switches to dark colours after sunset and in tunnels, so it never dazzles you.
Call 999 or share your live trip and location with family, straight from the map.
Flooded roads and heavy-rain warnings reported by drivers appear on your route before you reach them.
KM 3 Your safety comes first
LAPAN Nav is a web app (also called a PWA, or Progressive Web App). It opens in your phone's own browser — Chrome or Safari — and you can add it to your home screen so it looks and feels like any other app. Big names like Starbucks, Uber and Pinterest use the same technology.
Because it runs inside your browser, it is walled off from the rest of your phone. It cannot read your SMS, banking apps, contacts or photos. It only uses what you allow — your location for navigation — and you can switch that off any time.
Read the full safety guideIf anyone asks you for these things in LAPAN Nav's name, it is a scam. Report it to the NSRC hotline 997.

KM 5 Built in Malaysia
No big corporation, no fancy funding — just someone who drives the same jammed highways, flooded underpasses and confusing interchanges as you, and thought we deserve navigation that truly understands Malaysian roads. LAPAN Nav is built here, for us, and it gets better with every driver who joins.

Not yet — we're starting as a web app so we can launch faster and update it for everyone instantly. A web app is actually the safest way to try a new app: there's nothing to download, and it can't touch anything else on your phone. Store versions may come later.
Yes. LAPAN Nav is free to use. We will never ask you to pay to activate or unlock it.
Your location is used to guide you. If you choose to share traffic data, LAPAN Nav sends your speed anonymously — it is not linked to your name or account, and the start and end of every trip are left out, so no one can tell where you live or work.
Any recent Android phone with Chrome, or iPhone with Safari (iOS 16.4 or newer), will work.
About the same as other navigation apps. Keep your phone charging on long drives, as with any GPS app.
Long-press the LAPAN Nav icon and choose Remove / Uninstall, exactly like any other app.
No. LAPAN Nav never sends APK files. Do not open it. Delete the message, and if you've already installed it, put your phone in airplane mode and call your bank and the NSRC hotline 997.
